About Lindsay Smiles
I started my non-profit organization in memory of my daughter Lindsay, who was born with Down syndrome, and passed away due to a heart defect in 1987. My book, Lindsay Smiles, written in 2023, was created with the inspiration on how Lindsay’s life would have been by telling a story of a young girl who always keeps smiling, because it makes her and all those around her feel better.

Sponsorship
The Lindsay Smiles Foundation’s Sponsorship Program – donations provide programs and services to improve the quality of life for individuals with Down syndrome and their families from diagnosis through adulthood.
2025 Donations
DSANEO CARES is a support program for families whose children with Down syndrome experiencing an extended hospital stay and/or ongoing complex medical care. Through DSANEO CARES, we provide care packages with personal items for the child and parent(s) to help families within our 16-county service area experiencing a hospital stay.
2024 Donations
Book proceeds, fundraising and corporate donations contributed $20K to the National Down Syndrome Association and the Down Syndrome Association of Northeast Ohio.
